Privacy Policy

This policy explains what XataMail collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Our privacy approach

XataMail is a subscriber-supported email service and a Xatacom product. We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles from your mailbox, or use message contents to train artificial-intelligence models.

Information we collect

During early access, we collect the email address you submit and the date of your request. When accounts become available, we may also collect your name, XataMail address, account and security settings, subscription status, payment transaction references, support communications, and limited service logs needed to operate and secure the service.

Email content and technical data

Operating an email service requires processing message content, headers, contacts you choose to store, and delivery metadata. We also process IP addresses, device or browser information, authentication events, spam signals, and server logs for delivery, security, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and abuse response. We limit access to authorized purposes.

Payments

Payments will be processed by a payment provider. XataMail does not intend to store full payment-card numbers. The provider’s own privacy terms apply during checkout.

How we use and share information

We use information to provide, secure, improve, support, and communicate about XataMail; comply with law; and enforce our policies. Service providers may support hosting, payments, monitoring, customer support, and email delivery. They receive only information reasonably needed for their work. We may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users, the public, or the service.

Retention and security

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the service, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and enforcement. No system is completely secure, but we use administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect customer data.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe from pilot updates at any time. Once customer accounts launch, we will provide processes to access, correct, export, or delete eligible account information, subject to security, legal, and anti-abuse requirements.

Children and changes

XataMail is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the pilot develops. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
